Yuzan apartment Sanjo ligger ca. 18 km fra Iwafune Shrine og har en terrasse, balkon og udsigt til en have. It's absolutely one of the coolest places to stay in Nara. Directly off the main street leading to Nara Park, and super close to JR Nara Station. Its facilities are super up to date, but you can feel the age of the house in a good way. We had also left an item accidentally after checkout and the host did his absolute best, including going out of his way to get it back to us. Overall awesome experience.

At få bo i eg traditionelt japansk hus med tatami gulve og shoji papir døre har altid været en drøm for mig, så dette ophold var en enorm stor oplevelse - Ud over dette, var det en fornøjelse at mærke den store omsorg af værterne igennem hele besøget, simpelthen service i verdensklasse..

Ranjatai er et overnatningssted med en have og ligger i Nara, 1,9 km fra Nara Station, 20 km fra Iwafune Shrine og 24 km fra Hanazono Rugby Stadium. This is an amazing property and we loved staying in a traditional Japanese townhouse, in a quiet part of town. I was travelling with my husband and 3 adult children in early April. The location is great for walking into Nara (10-15 mins). We arrived in the evening and it was lovely that our host had put the heating on for us and it was easy to retrieve the keys from the key safe. It was a bonus to find there are 2 toilets and 2 hand washing basins in the property. We all agreed that the shower is the most powerful shower we have ever come across - amazing. All the beds were large doubles and very comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and our host had left lots of extra towels for us (far more than we chose to use). We liked that the bedrooms could also be heated in the evening, if needed. I used the washing machine and the instructions in English were helpful. There were lots of hanging rails to dry clothes on. The kitchen was well equipped and had more than we needed to reheat meals from the convenience store or to make snacks. For the rest of our stay in Japan we stayed in aparthotels in family suites. I was great to have so much room to spread out in for a few days. I highly recommend this property.

A highlight was the projector upstairs! So cool! The stairs take a bit of getting used to but I found them to be a memorable detail and appreciate the historic charm.
