The hostel is extremely clean, very comfortable and has all the facilities needed. Breakfasts were served in the garden and it was a nice opportunity to chat with other guests. I stayed 5 nights and felt thoroughly comfortable. Thanks to everyone at Hostal Maria.

Just a perfect get-away for us 'city folks' (we're from Toronto, and had spent a few weeks in CDMX beforehand). Really nice and beautiful home nestled in the mountains. The views from every window and the front patio – not to mention the drive in – were just ridiculously breathtaking. We loved our trip into the town of Tepoz as well. Javier the host could not have been nicer or more gracious with us. He put us in touch with a really friendly and wonderful taxi driver named Ares who brought us in from CDMX and helped us get around; the home is tucked away along some pretty steep and rough roads, so it helped a ton to have Ares around making it all manageable. Can not recommend this absolute gem of a find more strongly (quite a good deal too, considering the location and everything). Anyone looking to experience the quiet life in the mountains MUST stay here!!
