We really enjoyed the summer evenings, sitting outside and enjoying the view. It's like a Yellowstone experience in Drenthe. We'll come back!

Everything was amazing, the house is located in quiet area with big back garden. Everything to small details is designed to make us feel as comfortable as possible. It was very clean and nicely organised and decorated. The hosts are very friendly and nice. The breakfast surpassed our expectations, was super delicious fresh and prepared with love. I would definitely recommend this accommodation and in case would stay here again. Thank you:)

Το De Schotse Hooglander είναι ένα κατάλυμα με κήπο και βεράντα. Είναι σε Smilde, σε απόσταση 41 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Πύργος Martini, 5,8 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Memorial Center... Easy to find and good parking directly in front of the B&B. The apartment (as it is a lot more than but a 1 room B&B) looked fantastic on our arrival at 21:00 at night. Beautiful soft and warm lighting made it feel very welcoming. We were very impressed with the attention to detail that this couple put into their property. They have put a lot of love and care into getting every detail perfect. A Very comfortable bed where we both slept very well was followed by an AMAZING breakfast !!! Far more than we could eat... We were there in winter so we could not really use the private patio in the garden but I can imagine that having breakfast out there would be a beautiful and VERY memorable experience. I look forward to booking again as this little diamond would make an ideal base of operations from which to explore the northern area of the Netherlands.
