They made you feel like part of their family from the moment you arrived. The rooms are simple and comfortable and the property is on a quiet street. Breakfast is provided in the family kitchen and we had access to cooking facilities and the fridge. We went on an 8-day Huayuash trek with Erik and the whole experience was spectacular. Erik is a very able and knowledgeable guide. He is eager to share his understanding of the mountains, Peruvian history and politics and the rich culture of the country. The food he provides is delicious and his equipment and organizational skills are excellent.

We arrived to the hotel Casa del Montanista at the most perfect time on our trip for a rest and to regain energy. We was very welcomed by the owners and their family, they was very kind and helpful with everything. They assisted with booking tours for us and ensuring we arrived there safely to the meeting spot at 4am. We felt really comfortable and happy during our stay. We had access to the kitchen where we was able to prepare food for ourselves, our room was lovely, cosy and it had a balcony where we was able to do yoga and watch the sunset over the mountain.

There were two spacious beds, a clean kitchen with a variety of furniture, and all services including Wifi and Netflix were perfect. Especially the host and Diana were very kind and guided us around. They purchased tickets according to our travel itinerary and took us to a travel agency. We had a very happy trip and were disappointed that we only stayed for two days. The service and price are good, so I will definitely use this accommodation if I visit again.
