Featuring fire pit, Shadow Mountain Lodge and Cabins is located in Ruidoso. The shops and restaurants of Mid-Town are just 10 minutes' walk away. I stayed at this little cabin for a solo getaway and it was perfect. The place was cozy, clean, and peaceful. The cool breeze, the thin mountain air, and the way the sun beamed through the clouds made it feel incredibly calming. The trees and the quiet surroundings made it the perfect escape from everyday stress.

I share the room with the owner. The bathroom is not in suite, but is private, just for me. The room is not spacious but it is furnished with small microwave, refrigerator, chairs, nightstands. The bed is very comfortable. I'm impressed with the cleanliness, the decoration of the house. Laundry, shared kitchen is included: gorgeous! The owner prepares everything: snacks, fruit, toiletries. I felt like home! If I go back Albuquerque, this place is in my list.
