Skidresorter i Tikkala

Magical is an understatement. The spirit of Lapland is running through every inch of this facility and the hotel provides all activities imaginable connected to the nature and history of the area for a full blown experience In the land of the midnight sun! Can't wait to return for the winter... Though I am sad I missed out their Christmas celebration in the middle of summer a few days before my arrival. There is a local tradition in Salla; "Upside down day" (Äinpäin-päivi) taking place 10th of July every year where they do crazy things. It's nice the hotel arranges events with live music and much more! During my visit I participated in something called "Alkuajatus", where they had organized some kind of like a philosophical café. It was very interesting and profoundly insightful and I am eager to find out more about it! The rooms are gorgeous. Very fresh and exsquisitely newly renovated. Many of them includes a sauna. Facilities are impeccable with everything you could wish for, ideal for a kick off or conference with your company. Absolutely stunning! Breakfast is great, the food they are offering aswell. The bar with its outdoor area is worth a visit just by itself. Amazing service with extremely nice and friendly staff, especially the owners of the hotel themselves. Hats off to them! I think I fell in love with the beauty of Salla and Sallavalkea. I will definitely be back! As they say: In the middle of nowhere, to Salla. The future lies in Salla. Period. 6/5
