It is really a hobby farm with horses and donkeys, and the odd deer coming by for a visit. You can hike right out the back yard or take a short trip down the next road to the Yukon River. The winter scenes were sublime. The hosts made some great suggestions for dog sled tours and snowmobile tours, which we took up.

A lot of hot water in the shower, too. Amazing.
