The free shuttles to Goryu/47, Happo, Iwatake, Tsugaike and Norikura which leave from a shuttle stop that is literally right outside were an unexpected but fantastic bonus

L’établissement Hakuba Third Place Lodge se situe à Hakuba (Nagano), à proximité de ce lieu d’intérêt : Station de ski de Hakuba Goryu. The lodge is very well equipped. Our room even had a refrigerator, and the shared space offered a microwave, oven, and electric kettle. While dining options in Hakuba Village can be limited in winter, having these free facilities made it easy to buy frozen food and heat it ourselves. Honestly, after skiing all day in strong winds and heavy snow, being able to eat something warm at the lodge was far better than any fancy meal. The ski drying room was also very convenient, and the staff kindly opened it early for us so we could catch the 7:00 AM early-morning skiing session. The lodge also sells discounted lift tickets (¥7,000 per day, limited quantity on a first-come, first-served basis), and they provide IC cards with on-site top-up, which saved us the trouble of buying tickets at the Goryu ski resort. In addition, they offer discounts at nearby rental shops — we used Winpy, which was conveniently located along the way. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

L’établissement Hotel Wohnen se situe à Hakuba, à 9,1 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Station de ski de Tsugaike. Il possède un jardin, un salon commun, une terrasse et un parking privé gratuit. We had an amazing time staying at Hotel Wohnen. The staff were amazing, really helpful and kind and were more than willing to go out of their way to help us with anything. The facilities in the hotel like the Onsen, Drying room and Sauna were really great to use after a long day of skiing. Also, the staff were more than willing to provide us with a lift to the train station or too the shops. Next time we come to Japan we will most certainly be staying at Hotel Wohnen again.

Personnel de l'accueil très sympathique et serviable. Nous avons adoré notre séjour malgré les circonstances. Le service de navette est un vrai plus.

L’établissement Hakuba Amber Resort by Jade Group propose un bain à remous, ainsi que des hébergements avec la climatisation et une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite à Hakuba, à 12 km de ce lieu d’intérêt :... Excellente communication avec le service client (Ivy) qui a répondu rapidement à tous nos messages et nos demandes. Logement design mais très proche des autres, donc peu de privauté (vues sur les fenêtres des autres logements). Bonne base pour découvrir les pistes d'Hakuba. Bien situé pour accéder aux restaurant locaux. Nous avions une voiture mais il y a un bus à proximité pour le départ des remontées. Très belle cuisine très bien équipée. La construction est récente est clean.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Everyone answered all of our questions and made our time in Hakuba so easy. I would love to stay at this lodge again in the future.

The location is also great, quiet, short walk to the free shuttle bus stop and can access most of the key resorts. Always get a seat because it is the 1st stop. L’établissement Summer Leaves est situé à 1,9 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Station de ski de Tsugaike. Il possède un restaurant, un salon commun, une terrasse et un bar. Summer Leaves was a truly wonderful and unique place to stay, and our hosts, Mary and Mickey, are incredibly kind and warm people. When we arrived in Hakuba, Mary picked us up from the station. We chatted a little, and I mentioned how highly rated their place was and how excited I was to stay there. She laughed and said something like, “Oh yeah, people really seem to enjoy staying with us—the reviews keep getting longer!” After our stay, I completely understand why, because I also feel the urge to write a long review. We had a bit of bad luck with the weather. The week we were there was unusually warm, very little snow had fallen in December, and large parts of several resorts were closed. Even so, staying at Summer Leaves was the absolute highlight of our trip. Mary, Mickey, and all the volunteers were so kind and welcoming that, even though our stay was short, we felt like we had been welcomed into their little family. Every day after skiing, we would come back and chat, hang out, and talk about all sorts of things. One evening, we even went to an onsen together. We were invited to celebrate Christmas night with everyone and enjoyed real Chinese food for the first time (we don’t really have authentic Chinese food in the Netherlands) and it was delicious. They also taught us how to play mahjong, which was incredibly fun—we’ve already bought our own set and are planning to teach our friends soon. Traveling is always an amazing experience, and we both love it dearly, but being away from home can sometimes be difficult. At Summer Leaves, however, we truly felt at home while on holiday. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Japan for skiing, we already know we would only stay at Summer Leaves—hopefully with better snow and many more nights of mahjong.
