Haiji is a most beautiful mountain guest house warm and welcoming just as our hosts. Their record collection and memorabilia is amazing. Could not ask for a better place to stay. Highly recommend.

Not only is a great breakfast provided, there is the option for an amazing dinner. Tom is a great chef and the food was always tasty. He even offers a free drop off to the mountain each morning. I would highly recommend you stay here.

I wish that I had discovered this place sooner. My husband is a passholder at the nearby Appi Ski Resort so I booked the family room to work out of while he enjoyed the powder. We were impressed with the Cyprus bath in the room, but it had nothing on the outdoor rock bath. The outdoor baths are both accessible to all guests on a first-come, first-served basis (you can lounge in the lobby and wait for one to open up). The building itself looks like an old lodge and has a beautiful staircase in the lobby. The staff were all very helpful, and there were at least two who spoke great English during our stay. We also booked breakfast and dinner, which I'd say are a must. The hotel advised us that there are no food options nearby. We luckily had a car, but if you don't, definitely be mindful of this.

Amazing room and great location. We had the pleasure to try sulfur onsen and it was really great. Such a nice relaxing time in this hotel.

The design was very nice and cozy, place was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast served everyday and there was free shuttle service taking you to the breakfast and ski locations. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Owner Sano-San is very nice and involved and makes it a welcoming environment.

The property is close to some really scenic places and it was nice to base ourselves there for couple of days. The staff, service and meals were really good. I have to do a big shout out for the staff at the hotel, they were super super awesome and nothing seems difficult.
