I’ve been staying at Urasa Cottage for a couple of days, and I must say I truly felt at home. The host is very friendly, and the house is quite new and clean. It’s also not too far from the station. I already miss it ❤️ I’ll be back soon~

We are from the US and loved the cultural experience. The onsen was amazing, and so was the meals! Loved breakfast and dinner. Above and beyond!! Tatami mat bedroom also loved.

Noka Minshuku Sanzen ligger 24 km från Gala Yuzawa skidort och erbjuder luftkonditionerat boende med en trädgård, en terrass, en balkong och gratis WiFi. This place is magical. We've been to Japan a few times and this was one of our favourite stays ever. We stayed in the beautifully restored guest house and enjoyed an amazing Japanese breakfast in the main house every morning. The owners are a wonderful and incredibly generous family, who went above and beyond and even drove us to local restaurants and a great onsen. As we didn't have a car, we went on a hugely enjoyable tour of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field with the lovely and very knowledgable Nobu. Huge thanks to Nobu and her family for looking after us and making us feel so welcome.

We loved everything about our stay! Our hosts welcomed us with exceptional hospitality and helped us solved any problems. The onsen was the perfect way to end each day.

Belle Vue Nishiura ligger i Minami Uonuma i Niigata-regionen, 3 minuters promenad från skidorten Ishiuchi-Maruyama. Här erbjuds skidförvaring och möjlighet att åka skidor ända fram till dörren. My friend and I had an absolutely fantastic time staying at this hotel. It's a family establishment run by Satoshi and his wife, along with their two small children, with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location can't be beat with a five minute walk to the Ishiuchi Maruyama gondola. Satoshi and his wife were incredibly kind hosts, providing me and my friend with pick-up from Echigo Yuzawa Station (multiple times since we arrived and departed at different times!) as well as transportation to Maiko Ski Resort. They also rented out snowboarding gear and provided breakfast for extremely reasonable prices. I would recommend this place 10 times out of 10 and have every intention of returning myself in the near future.　サトシさん、誠にありがとうございます！

Yuzawa Grand Hotel is within a 2-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa Train Station and the Sake Museum. It offers 3 public baths, a massage service and free parking on site. Yuzawa Grand hotel gave us the best Japan cultural immersion experience. Our room had both the western style bed but with Japanese tatamis and spare futons. This has been the highlight of our Japan trip as we experienced eating oranges in a low Japanese table, sleep in futons, experience the amazing Onsens Hot springs both indoor and outdoor. The hotel is very engaging, clean, accommodating-- i cannot praise it enough. It is also in this hotel that we tried sukiyaki for the first time and many amazing dishes and seafood in both their breakfast and dinner offers. We would really love to visit again in a few years time hopefully:)

Shosenkaku Kagetsu har 10 unikt designade varma källbad och erbjuder boende i japansk stil, bara 5 minuters promenad från tågstationen JR Echigo Yuzawa. The onsen was awesome. Room was large.

Kogakuro ligger i ett fridfullt landskap och erbjuder trevliga rum i japansk stil med gott om dagsljus. Mieko-san and the rest of the team are super! It was well organized and breakfast + dinner are tasty. The room is big and comfortable with nice mountain view.. Close to the ski lift and there are many restaurants around. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
