We are from the US and loved the cultural experience. The onsen was amazing, and so was the meals! Loved breakfast and dinner. Above and beyond!! Tatami mat bedroom also loved.

The Japanese senior couple managing the pension are genuinely the sweetest people we could have dreamed of. Moomin Papa picked us up at the station at arrival and dropped us off (super early in the morning) after checkout. He drove us and the other guests in the morning to the ski resorts nearby and was also willing to pick us up in the afternoon. He was also great at giving dinner recommendations. The pension is simple and welcoming, breakfast is great and all we needed for a full day on the slopes. The onsen is a bit old but we didn’t mind. If you have very long hair it could take a while to dry with the available hairdryer - just to keep in mind. Rooms are nice and warm and the beds are comfortable. WiFi works well. Overall I would say it was a beautiful stay, the hosts and their care in everything they did made the experience 100 times better. Highly recommend!

Belle Vue Nishiura ligger i Minami Uonuma i Niigata-regionen, 3 minuters promenad från skidorten Ishiuchi-Maruyama. Här erbjuds skidförvaring och möjlighet att åka skidor ända fram till dörren. Wonderful place. Would recommend to solo-travelers, families or groups of friends. Location is within walking distance to Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort. The owner Satoshi-san and all staff are extremely kind and helpful. Provided a free shuttle to the station when returning home. Excellent prices of rental gear, much lower than the ski resorts. Great gear as well. Absolutely perfect.

Maruyama Onsen Kojyokan ligger i Minami Uonuma, 2 km från Maiko Snow Resort. Här erbjuds en terrass och en varm källa. Privat parkering erbjuds utan extra kostnad. WiFi är gratis i alla utrymmen. Superb experience, we travelled to Echigo Yuzawa for 大地の芸術祭 Echigo Tsumari, to have better explore of the Event, we selected this hotel. The hotel provided a superb services, includes station pick up and drop off. Everything is great. The buffet breakfast is bery good.

Yuzawa Grand Hotel is within a 2-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa Train Station and the Sake Museum. It offers 3 public baths, a massage service and free parking on site. Super convenient from shinkansen station, convenient rental for ski and snowboard and even sent us to the ski slopes. Rooms and onsen were well maintained and clearly upgraded. Super worthwhile stay!

Shosenkaku Kagetsu har 10 unikt designade varma källbad och erbjuder boende i japansk stil, bara 5 minuters promenad från tågstationen JR Echigo Yuzawa. The onsen was awesome. Room was large.

Kogakuro ligger i ett fridfullt landskap och erbjuder trevliga rum i japansk stil med gott om dagsljus. I loved the space of the room. The breakfast was incredible. So much choice and so well cooked
