We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were great and very informative about the location and transport options etc. An absolute must stay if you are near the area. The food was incredible for breakfast and dinner, very traditional and gorgeous meat. The private baths are the best we went in, the fact they are private is a massive plus. We had the best time here; thank you to all the staff! It is also really close to the bus station to get to the Kamikochi Valley.

The private onsen in the rooms was amazing. The rooms were private and spacious and I am dreaming of going back one day. We especially appreciated the layout of the hotel and emphasis on design.

Auberge Hidanomori blev genåbnet efter renovering i 2022. Det ligger i rolige bakker, 10 minutters kørsel fra JR Takayama Station. I have no words other than - wow. Beautiful place in the woods, minimalist interior, impeccable. It’s all about the small details! The shuttle service to and from the stay was also super helpful. We had dinner two nights in a row, the first night with the wine pairing. We had drinks we never had in our lives (we ended up buying a couple of bottles) and tasted one of the best meals we have ever had. The second night they remembered our favorite drinks and in general were so attentive. I have nothing but good words to say about this place and I’d recommend staying there to anyone coming to Takayama.

Yatsusankan Over 6 år gammel ligger 6 minutters gang fra JR Hidafurukawa Station og tilbyder indkvartering i traditionel japansk stil med rummelige offentlige bade. absolutely fantastic . we liked everything 😀 tatami as a bed isn’t made for us 😀 but that was our Choice to try it. except of this the whole ryokan , the staff the food is just the best . thank you !

Beautiful location and view of the river from the room we stayed in. Friendly host. The property had all the necessary amenities and was of a good size.

Villa-rizo 山田 ligger i Takayama, 1,8 km fra Hida Folk Village og 3,1 km fra Takayama Station. Her er gratis wi-fi og aircondition. This is a fantastic property. Lots of attention to detail. If you have a car you should definitely go for this place.
