Daiwa Roynet Hotel Yamagata Ekimae asub Yamagatas, 17 km kaugusel Zao Onseni suusakuurordist. Kohapeal on spordikeskus, privaatne parkla ja massaažiteenused. Easy location near Yamagata Station, nice clean rooms and facilities, great amenities, 7-11 right downstairs, staff was great and friendly Everything about this hotel is made to be easy for the traveler. We didn’t include breakfast in our stay as it was for 6 nights but did buy tickets for one morning and it was delicious for a reasonable price

Set in Yamagata and with Zao Onsen Ski Resort reachable within 600 metres, オーベルジュ樹氷 offers a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. Right on the resort. Ski-in ski-out. Similar setup to a Hostel but a little nicer. Owner was great.

G-SQUARE asub Yamagatas, 700 meetri kaugusel Zao Onseni suusakuurordist. Kohapeal on ühine puhkeruum ja tasuta eraparkla. Ski in/ski out, amazing breakfast each morning, very friendly staff. The drying room was very well set up and the shared bathroom clean. Lots of food options nearby.

Zao Onseni suusakuurort on 3,1 km kaugusel. Forest Inn Sangoro pakub majutust, restorani, aeda, ühist puhkeruumi ja terrassi. Kogu majutusasutuses on tasuta WiFi-ühendus. Amazing free breakfast! Awesome dinner choices! Friendly staff and helpful! Quick pick up with nice car type snowmobiles from tram! Amazing scenery! Beautiful old hotel! Can get to snow lift easy so close.

Miyamaso Takamiya asub Zao Sky köisraudteest 10-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel. Kohapeal on 9 looduslikku kuumaveeallikat. One of the best ryokans we’ve stayed at in Japan. The location feels straight out of a Ghibli movie, with over 300 years of history and an amazing atmosphere. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed some of the best Japanese food each day at the ryokan restaurant. Since both me and my partner have tattoos, we booked the private onsen every evening through reception. The real highlight was the staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay special, spoke good conversational English, and checked in daily to ensure everything was perfect. Highly recommended for an authentic, cozy ryokan experience!

Zao Onseni suusakuurordist vaid 1-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel asuv Pension Puutaro pakub Jaapani stiilis tube, Prantsuse õhtusööki ja tasuta WiFi-ühendust. Excellent service! The staff at Pension Puutaro were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Highly recommend for their exceptional hospitality!

I still vividly remember the scene—drinking hot coffee with a cute little cat by my side, soft music playing in the background, casually chatting with guests from another country, while the firewood crackled, the woods burned, and snow gently fell outside. I truly believe these memories will continue to heal me in the future. The food the hosts made was so delicious. Thank you so much for the wonderful food and heartfelt hospitality. This house truly gave me a feeling of home. I felt really sad on my way to the airport 🥲 I’ll definitely be back soon!!!

Zao Kokusai hotell asub Zao Onseni suusakuurordist vaid 1-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel. Hotellis on avarad sise- ja välivannid ning Jaapani stiilis toad. Clean … I like the massage chair inside the room.

Kaminoyamas asuval majutusasutusel Yamagata Zao Pension Aplon Stage on vaatega bassein. Kohapeal on tasuta WiFi-ühendus, aed ja restoran. Suusakäikude juurde pääseb otse majutusasutuse ukse ette. We loved our stay with Massa and his family. We enjoyed a comfortable stay here - we felt incredibly welcome with such wonderful, hard working and incredibly helpful hospitality from the hosts at this family run hotel. Momo, the shiba dog, was a massive hit with us - super friendly and we even took her for a walk! The ski resort is a 5 minute drive away - we parked in the Rental Naja car park for 1000 yen a day. This made it easier to access the slopes. We ate several times at the hotel - home cooked curry and amazing sushi. The breakfasts were varied and great. Free parking too which was helpful. Shared facilities were no issue…lots of sinks, good system for bathing. Would 100% return!

Set in Kaminoyama, Yamagata region, 蔵王ペンション kobaya is located 2.3 km from Zao Onsen Ski Resort. The property is only a 15 minute walk, or short bus on weekends to the ski lift, very convenient. We also rented our ski clothes and ski equipment directly through Kobaya House, they communicated very well helping us arrange everything in the lead up to the stay. While we were there they were fantastic hosts going above and beyond to ensure everyone had a good time, the food was cooked fresh everyday and they joined us one day for snowboarding to show us some really good spots. couldn’t recommend more, we ended up extending an extra day we loved it so much
