We booked and arrived within 30 minutes of booking and the staff were very helpful to get us checked in.

The fantastic historical property, the beautiful rooms, the romantic atmosphere, the amazing food at the restaurant and great drinks at the bar, but mostly, the amazing team of people that run it and make you feel at home. Archway Motels & Chalets offers quiet and secluded accommodation, only 200 metres from Lake Wanaka. We stayed in a new studio, everything was provided that you could need including a comprehensive kitchen. Washing machine on site was very helpful. Location is good, just a short walk into the town.

From the start, Helen made sure we could reach her easily and because we arrived in the evening, she had turned on the heaters and lights for us. The apartment is designed beautifully with amenities that were well thought out by our host, Helen. The location was very central and the little creek behind the house was a welcome sight -- you can spot some ducks in the morning.
