Cardrona Hotel features an iconic on-site restaurant and bar. You can enjoy the picturesque gardens while sipping a drink on the patio. Everything! The fantastic historical property, the beautiful rooms, the romantic atmosphere, the amazing food at the restaurant and great drinks at the bar, but mostly, the amazing team of people that run it and make you feel at home. So so friendly, competent, kind, wonderful people! Thank you so much to all and each one of you for making our stay with you so wonderful and unforgettable! Merci Beaucoup! We could not have hoped for a better place to stay, or for better hosts. Juliet and David have created a beautiful place to stay in a quiet, stunning setting, forming a perfect base from which to explore Queenstown, Glenorchy and all of the stunning area around. The room was perfect, the breakfasts were outstanding ( they do undersell them by calling them Continental breakfasts......they're so much more than that), and the banana bread is more legendary than Lord Of The Rings 😊. To top it all, Juliet and David are perfect hosts; friendly, generous, informative...everything you would want from hosts, and so much more. If we are lucky enough to return to New Zealand again (sooner than the 20 year gap between our first and last visit), this will be the first place we book. The property was beautifully designed and extremely clean, with a very peaceful and private atmosphere. Everything we needed was provided, and the check-in process was smooth and well explained.

We loved staying here! From the start, Helen made sure we could reach her easily and because we arrived in the evening, she had turned on the heaters and lights for us. The apartment is designed beautifully with amenities that were well thought out by our host, Helen. The location was very central and the little creek behind the house was a welcome sight -- you can spot some ducks in the morning.
