Located near Serra da Estrela, this 250-year old manor house has historic furnishings and artistic accessories. Each themed room is a reminder of older way of life. The house is an old manor full of character and charm, right in the center of Manteigas. The room is very spacious, the heating works great and the bed is comfy. The staff is really friendly, and went above and beyond to provide vegan breakfast options for us, after we asked at the time of booking if there would be any. They got us plant milk, yogurt, cheese, butter and galantine, and even made delicious apple pastries and pancakes for us! That's on top of what I assume is their usual, "accidentally vegan" assortment of different kinds of bread, cereal, fruit and jams. We couldn't be happier.

This stay is beyond five stars. The place itself is amazing. The attention to detail and the dedication of the team is superb. Ana's greeting and tips were special, and it made our stay memorable. We were given an amazingly prepared breakfast with eggs from their own chickens (whom we were introduced to) fresh apples , and juice from their own garden also fresh local produce and some tasty cheeses! We wanted to use the sauna super late in the evening and Ana was very accomodating to our request, also the sauna worked very well. If you're close to Covilha, you can't miss this unforgettable experience from start to finish. We will definitely return!

First of all the responses and replies from Paula and Marcia were excellent, prompt and informative. Never have we seen such quick responses any time of the day...I was -4hr GMT. The apartment was clean and comfortable...All amenities for a comfortable stay was available. .They were there to greet us and explained everything in detail. They arranged a nice, must visit, cheese making factory. The breakfast was excellent. Looking forward to our next trip. Thanks once again Paula and Marcia...you made our New Year Bright! Featuring mountain views, Altavista Penthouse T2 features accommodation with a balcony, around 18 km from Parque Natural Serra da Estrela. It is a spacious apartment in Covilha. It has a large bathroom and bedroom. A cosy livingroom, great wifi and a balcony with a view to the town. There are several supermarkets nearby. You can park your car in the street in front of the apartment, sometimes you have to search for a parking spot but we managed it every time. We didn't speak the owner, but it worked for us that we could enter the apartment with a code. The wifi was great.
