All the staff were outstanding in helping with our trip to this marvelous location in such a serene area of Portugal. My only regret is we did not arrange to stay in the hotel longer. Super help from our server for supper. John our server not only made our evening feel very special but he also made some wonderful suggestions for the rest of our trip including somewhere to find some cheese that we enjoyed with our supper. We both found the cod main course splendid. Your staff made this short stay for us feeling relaxed and ready to continue our journey.

Situato nei pressi della Serra da Estrela, questa antica casa padronale ottocentesca vanta arredi storici, accessori artistici e camere a tema che ricordano il vecchio stile di vita. La struttura è incredibile, un palazzo del '500 di proprietà della stessa famiglia dalle origini. Sembra di fare un salto indietro nel tempo. Sale comuni con biliardo, caminetto, giochi da tavolo... e camere arredate in stile "vintage". Il letto è enorme e comodissimo! Tutto stupendo. Colazione meravigliosa: prodotti freschi da gustare in sale dai soffitti dipinti, con vista sul giardino interno.

Staff are very nice and polite. Parking available on-site. Breakfast was excellent as well. The views are amazing.

Continental breakfast is perfect and very fresh. The Serra da Estrella natural park provides lots of trekking paths. In the Vila apartment you can enjoy a beautiful view while drinking wine in a jacuzzi :D The trekking during July might be hard due to high temperatures and due to high grass bushes on the path.

The apartment was clean and comfortable...All amenities for a comfortable stay was available. .They were there to greet us and explained everything in detail. They arranged a nice, must visit, cheese making factory. The breakfast was excellent. Looking forward to our next trip. Thanks once again Paula and Marcia...you made our New Year Bright!
