Cosenza/Rende is a complex place (I have been staying in and around the city for many years) and Grecale is beautifully situated high above, near the university, about 6km from the Cosenza Nord-Rende motorway junction. The views are wonderful. The lodging is extraordinary : extremely modern, super clean, and with excitingly different lighting , a beautiful bathroom, and ample, safe parking. Very friendly and charming owner who had to struggle with my basic Italian for us to understand e o! Good tea and coffee facilities are part of the startlingly unusual room furnishings. My room had a fireplace, but it was 32°C so I didn't try it out!

Set in Rende centre, Hotel Majorana is near the University of Calabria and next to the Rende-Cosenza Nord exit of the A3 motorway. It offers free parking and air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi.

The breakfast area itself is quite small, but if you're not traveling in a large group, it's very suitable for a small breakfast with a couple of sandwiches. Breakfast, as is the Italian way, is full of cakes and buns to nibble on with a cappuccino or a tiny ristretto from the coffee bar, but there was also fresh fruit, orange juice, mineral water, milk, serials, a cheese and meat platter and even a hard-boiled egg. The selection was not huge, but it was enough to avoid having to eat the same thing every day. The hotel is an 18-minute walk from the train station, close to many dining options and nearby shopping, and 24 minutes' on foot to the University of Calabria.

I had an amazing experience staying at the Boutique Suites - Palazzo Rodota in Cosenza, and a huge part of that was thanks to Luca, the owner. From the moment I arrived, Luca went above and beyond to make sure my stay was as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Not only did he provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but he also helped me find a safe garage to store my motorcycle for the night, which gave me a great sense of peace of mind. On top of that, he arranged a reservation for me at a fantastic local restaurant, ensuring that I had a delicious and memorable meal. Luca’s hospitality truly made this trip special, and I can’t recommend his boutique hotel highly enough. The personal touches and care he puts into his guests’ experience are unmatched. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Cosenza!

I had a fantastic stay in Cosenza. The neighborhood was peaceful and conveniently close to supermarkets, a gas station, and a pharmacy. The host was incredibly kind and always available, making my stay even more enjoyable. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and exceeded my expectations.

Rooms were comfortable and a good size. En suite bathrooms. Shared kitchen. Good location in centre. A bit of street noise but nothing significant. No breakfast at property but plenty of nearby cafes. Safe storage for bikes in the building. Hard to find anything to criticise or improve

Wow, wow ,wow...I want to stay for another week . Everyone was very helpful and made the stay wonderful. The rooms are superb, the location gorgeous. The pool was fantastic . And the day spa provided a great massage. One of our group was unable to manage stairs so they were given a ground floor suite..
