We had a fabulous stay at Mayai. The resort was beautiful, right by a calm and serene beach, the staff were super kind and friendly, facilities were great and food was delicious. We loved hanging at the restaurant and looking out into the beach. Would recommend 10/10 to anyone visiting Zanzibar. Special mention to the owner Mr Tord and our guide Mr Seif who made the trip extra special for us. I cannot be thankful enough to Mr Tord for his thoughtful recommendations, for preparing the staff ahead of our trip, and helping me curate the tours suited to my child. Mr Seif took us around, made sure we experienced the local culture and food, and he personally took us snorkeling as my daughter and I cannot swim. It was my daughter’s first snorkeling experience and I’m grateful to him for swimming with us and ensuring our safety. He speaks excellent English so communication was very easy, do ask for him when you’re in Zanzibar. Overall a wonderful trip and we’ll definitely be going back!

Everything about this property was just beyond perfect! Right from the time of reservation the manager Mollel attended to our requests promptly. They allowed us an early checkin and offered breakfast too. We were given the best room since I was celebrating my birthday there. Mollel and the team members made sure I had my most memorable bday there my arranging a surprise celebration with cake, music and dance. The most hospitable staff members I have ever come across! The entire property had such an amazing ambience and they made us feel at home. Mollel, Edna, Christina and entire team at Sahari made our stay perfect and most relaxing. We will definitely be back here for our next holiday!

The hotel is phenomenal. We rented a 2-bed villa with private pool. It was clean, luxurious and very private. The service exceptional with special attention from the staff at every turn. The food was amazing. Xanadu was a dream of its own. This magical Afro-Arabian oasis of dhow wood, adobe, palm trees and pure white sand embraces you with its solitude, calm and its pure inherent magic. I've never seen a place like it before where you feel at home instantaneously. There is no separation between the interiors and the exteriors, the spaces just flow effortlessly and continuously as one big comforting presence surrounding you everywhere. The beach flows into your rooms and your room flows back to the beach, in one stunning continuum. Have you stayed in a place where you didn't even need a key for your room and you just felt THAT SAFE? Xanadu was that precedent for me. Complimenting this mesmerizing architecture, art work and the most beautiful beach I've seen, is the grace of its staff, at the head of which is the wonderful and one-and-only, the lady herself - Miss Leigh, from her receiving us every time we're back from an excursion to her faring us goodbye at 3:00am in the morning, she was the constant maestra that kept the cadence and rhythm of this magical place running like a clock. Our wonderful butler Mr. Mike, was a prince of his own right, made us comfortable and taken care every minute during our stay. He's a ninja who knows when you need something and makes it happen with a snap. The food itself needs another chapter of praise, everything is freshly produced, farm-and-sea-to-table style. I've had the tastiest lobster thermidor in my life in Zanzibar! this for the books for sure. Thanks to the amazing local chefs and farmers affiliated to this gem. Xanadu, Miss Leigh, thank you for painting this unforgettable and beautiful portrait for our stay in Zanzibar. We're forever indebted. Top marks across the board! Stayed here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The staff were kind and helpful, and the food was incredible. Seating locations for lunch and dinner are rotated throughout the week so meal service never feels stale. As part of the stay we could rent kayaks and beach bicycles for free from the sister property. The Palms offer reef shoes for free for a low tide reef walk; take advantage and do it. We'll be recommending this property to our friends, and could see ourselves returning for a future stay.

I can fairly say that this place is one of the beat i have been. Very clean and warm atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly and nice and always helpful especially mr.khamis he never hesitate to help us regarding any matter, big respect and thank u for him. My sister is vegan so the chefs were very helpful to make a good plates for her everyday. The place is very safe and the beach is private. They clean twice a day which makes the place always clean and nice smell and no insect inside the rooms. Some side downs, The wifi only outside the rooms and not strong. We had to buy toothpaste and toothbrush because none were provided in the rooms and they were not cheap and there was no sleepers in the rooms. But these small details didn’t bother us a lot so overall it’s very pleasant experience i would recommend and stay there again for sure.
