We arrive at the lodge late but the reception staff went out of their way to make sure we still got on the afternoon game drive the first day. Dining room staff were great, very professional, attentive and friendly. Great ambiance with view over the dam. it was a treat to see an elephant and family of warthogs come to drink. Cool!

This villa exceeded our expectations. The view from our deck was magical, plenty of animals to keep the whole family entertained and the house itself is very spacious, the beds are very comfortable, and kitchen is well equipped. The pool was heated. We didn't have a car and it was never an issue to send a driver to pick us up and drop us off if needed. Otherwise it's approx. a 10mins walk to the resort/reception area, but it is uphill.

Shepherds Tree Game Reserve is a lodge concession, located on the south western portion of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve and 11 mi away from Sun City.

The whole lodge experience - location, decor and amenities, wood fired tub, dinner options. The game drives were an outstanding experience and I will definitely be retuning. Our driver, Freedom, was exceptional and I felt we got everything out of the trip we had hoped for.
