Hotel Märthof Basel features a fitness centre, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Basel. Each accommodation at the 4-star hotel has city views, and guests can enjoy access to a sauna and a hammam. Perfect location in the very center of central Basel, right on the Marktplatz. This is now my go-to hotel for whenever business or leisure travel takes me through this part of the world. Fabulously friendly and attentive staff, a super cafe (popular with locals as well as guests: you're going to need to book if you want to have Sunday brunch there...), and very comfy beds with the most comfortable pillows I've ever slept on in a Swiss or German hotel. HIGHLY recommended and worth the price.

Enjoying a quiet location in the heart of Basel, the Radisson Blu Basel Hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the central train station and features a great indoor pool. Clean rooms, excellent location: walking distance to train station and Christmas markets. Excellent staff.
