Everything about the stay was excellent. The hotel has a beautiful alpine design, very cozy and relaxing, with stunning views that truly reflect the charm of Grindelwald. The atmosphere was peaceful, the staff were extremely friendly, and the breakfast was outstanding especially enjoyed with the breathtaking mountain view

The hotel is 600 metres from the First Cable Car Station and lies 100m above the centre of Grindelwald. Its rooms and sun terrace have magnificent views of the surrounding scenery. The photos don’t do this place justice! The views are truly amazing. It’s up the steep hill and away from the main street so we didn’t feel the rush or crowds of tourists at all. We stayed here in September for 4 nights in one of the apartments on the top floor. It was spacious and had its own kitchen, balcony that looked straight at the mountains (a room with a perfect view!), and a washing machine and dryer. We ate dinner at the hotel as the walk up from the main street is a steep 20 minute walk, and we didn’t want to do it in the evening with a young child (buses stop around 5:30-6pm). Breakfast was plentiful too. Our daughter LOVED running around and playing in the field in front of the hotel. We walked down to the main street to catch the train or took the bus to where we wanted to visit. It was all easy and thoroughly enjoyable. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

Situated close to the ski lifts in Zermatt, Alpen Resort & Spa features a restaurant, and spacious rooms with cable TV. Excellent hotel with beautiful facilities and amazing service. I forgot a wallet with documents and credit cards in the room safe and the staff did everything they could to get the wallet to me in a train station that was more than one hour away. Very attentive staff through out our stay too.

Such an amazing boutique hotel...and not so pricey for what it offers! It feels like home.. the vintage Christmas decorations.. such a warm feeling everywhere you look.. the light of the natural candles, the peaceful music in the hall.. amazing little spa, also. 2 jacuzzi and 2 saunas..in a peaceful atmosphere.. with candles, music and lovely perfume in the spa. Lovely breakfast, too. And the restaurant , also! Our room was perfect.we also had a free little bed for our 4 years old daughter..and bath robe and slippers for her,too. It's all in the details! Our best accomodation in Switzerland!
