The pool was a welcome reprieve from the heat and the staff were helpful and welcoming

An excellent location from which to explore the numerous hill towns, rivers, lakes and lavender fields of the Luberon, made all the better with a wonderful pool to cool off after a day out before heading out to eat in the wonderful restaurants in nearby Ansouis and Cucuron. But the thing that really makes this stand out as an exceptional place to stay is the host, Florence, who was perfect in every way. Lovely company, brilliant breakfasts and full of really good recommendations on what to do in the area.

If you are fortunate enough to stay at Le Domaine du Castellas, you won’t regret it. The property is secluded, and once you arrive, you may not feel the need to do much touring, but that is precisely why it deserves a place in your holiday. This is not just accommodation, it is one of life’s special experiences that will stay with you for many years. The journey along the long, narrow road is soon forgotten when the property opens up before you. The views, tranquillity, beautifully appointed rooms, and exceptional service make it all worthwhile. We left already knowing we would return, something that rarely happens. The staff play a huge part in the magic here. From the talented chef to the gardening team, front of house, and the meticulous Elsa Picaud Dor, who we believe is the reason the property is so immaculate, every detail is cared for with dedication. We often come across wonderful properties with potential, but it is rare to find somewhere as special as this. If you are in the area, I would also suggest staying at Domaine Les Martins, closer to Gordes, which makes a perfect combination. David and Régis are outstanding hosts, and if you are lucky enough to find a room, you must experience their level of service. Together, these two properties offer an experience every bit as good as Airelles Gordes, La Bastide, but with far more local charm.

Situated in a former convent in Mane, built in 1613, Le Couvent des Minimes, un Hôtel & Spa L'Occitane en Provence RELAIS & CHATEAUX has a facade and a terraced garden with botanical plants. We loved our stay here. The breakfast was excellent! As a vegan they had plenty of options for me. The location was beautiful. There was a great parking lot for those who are driving. The spa is phenomenal! There were so many rooms and it was very spacious so it never felt overcrowded. The inside of the hotel is beyond beautiful, modern, but still has its charm of an old convent. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Located close to the Luberon Park, Coquillade Provence welcomes you in a typical 13th-century wine-making village. For Provence lovers, the Coquillade is an institution. I love the style, the service, the facilities. Staff is always attentive to your every need and there to help. Location is amaying and the hotel is close to some of the nicest villages of Provence.

Wonderful villa style property. Loved the hot tub, rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. Kitchen has everything needed. Bathroom is modern. Beautiful and spacious, it was my family’s favorite place we stayed in the whole trip, and we have many happy memories
