Complementary ramen service and icecream after bath, massage chairs…really make it an avalanche of good small things that made me reluctant to even leave the building haha :)

Fukui Manten Hotel Ekimae is set in Fukui, 3.7 km from Fukui Prefecture Industrial Hall and 16 km from Eiheiji Temple. Location was perfect, both for train travel and evening meals. Also having a laundry was great.

Located 18 km from Phoenix Plaza, Grandia Housen offers 4-star accommodation in Awara and features a spa and wellness centre, an open-air bath and a garden. Japan hospitality at its best. Food was good. Lounge was good. Food was good. Nothing to complain. Only thing if they have coin laundry will do wonders for me.

Set just 20 km from Phoenix Plaza, Awara Grand Hotel features accommodation in Awara with access to a spa and wellness centre, an open-air bath, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Great old fashioned but well maintained Grand Hotel in a beautiful country setting. We stayed for access to other parts of the region while enjoying the out of the way location. While it caters for golfers using its golf course we didn't go for the golfing facilities and enjoyed the excellent food, nice public bath, generous apartment style rooms and the ambience of being in the hills and country-side of Awaraonsen. It is good value for the facilities enjoyed.
