The staff are very professional and kind, beds were huge and the room was very big with new furniture. There are 2 smoking spaces inside the hotel and the onsen is awesome, open till 1 am. The location is great, near everything in Takayama, 4 minutes from station. We really enjoyed staying there.

Located in Ochiai, 3.6 km from Toson Memorial Museum, 中津川温泉 ホテル花更紗 provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. The location was out of the way from the Nakasendo Kaido but everything about the hotel was great. The onsen was very nice-the water or whatever was put in the water was great for the skin. The dinner and breakfasts were amazing.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Everything was great, the food was good, the view breath-taking, the rooms spacious and the hotel had a lovely retro vibe to it. The Onsen were incredible.

Featuring beautiful sceneries of the woods, Ryu Resort and Spa is located in the tranquil Shokawa Highland area, a 50-minute drive or free shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station (reservation needed). Staff were attentive, food was good and the open air onsen made the experience very memorable. They also had kids Yukata and a small play area.
