Boasting spacious public baths, APA Hotel Hiroshima-Ekimae Ohashi is located a 4-minute walk from JR Hiroshima Station. Free WiFi is provided in all rooms. Got breakfast included. Hiroshima local ingredients were used to prepare a few splendid dishes, with my favourite being the lemon soup which is really refreshing. Other than that this was a regular (nice) APA - with a cosy room and big daiyokujou. Simple enough to make a single traveller happy.

Staff was very helpful in preparing the luggage forwarding paperwork to my next hotel, as well as addressing ad-hoc requests such as providing information on the nearest JP post office/takkyubin office to forward parcels back home. Morning buffet offers a wide spread of Japanese options. Hotel facilities is generous with free onsen, ice creams, yoghurt drinks and late night ramen for supper at no added cost. There are also English-speaking staff available on hand for individuals who are unable to converse in Japanese, which is a value-add given that it is primarily a business hotel.
