I am a designer and the room was just the best, most well designed space on our trip in Sri Lanka! Spacious, lovely light concept, large bathroom. Best of all were the 2 lounge chairs on the balcony. Most comfy space to read.

Beautiful private beach, really nice stuff, always willing to help. Scooter was rented through the hotel with no poblems. Cooked food was really tasty.

We went to Kayaam House for part of our honeymoon to Sri Lanka. It was perfect! So gorgeous and serene. You're right on the beach - the beach is peaceful - there is no one on it and it stretches as far as you can see. When we were there, the waves were too big to swim but walking along the beach was still lovely. The pool is gorgeous! Perfect temperature and big. Loved it! The rooms are clean and fresh. Great having the smart TV too. Our room was facing the beach so we could hear the waves at night (sometimes they break quite loudly!) - so it was helpful that they supplied complimentary ear plugs. The food is great! And the staff are wonderful. They also host meditation and yoga classes in their outdoor hut by the pool every day - we did this and it was such a lovely way to start the day.

Välibasseini, tasuta privaatse parkimise, aia ja terrassiga Sleeping Elephant Beach Resort asub Tangalle'is, mõne sammu kaugusel Wella Odaya rannast. It started when we arrived and were already awaited and greeted by manager John and his girlfriend Adele with big smiles :) They were so very helpful and nice throughout our stay and made the experience perfect. John always had tips for us about where to go and was always available when we had any questions. We were staying in one of their two villas, and it was so nice to have our own living room with comfy couch and even small kitchen with two fridges for drinks. The villas are the most set back from the front of the property and offer perfect privacy if that's what you want. Everything was super clean and nicely furnished - we felt very comfortable. The terrace with lounge chair and sitting area with coffee table was ideal for having a morning coffee and just enjoy the sounds of nature. The staff! Nuan and Ruzindu (I hope I wrote the names correctly) were the two waiters in the restaurant, and they both did a great job. While I do not remember the chef's name, I need to mention him and the kitchen staff as well, because the food there was some of the best we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. Also, Tila, who takes care of the cleaning and gardens, together with another man, whose name I unfortunately can't remember, where truly warm and kind to us and always passed by our villa for a chat whenever they passed. The staff, together with John and Adele made the stay there to what it was - PERFECT! The property itself is simply beautiful: Laid out very well with lush greenery and nicely done paths throughout, there are 5 rooms in total - 2 villas and 3 bungalows. The hotel was planned and designed very thoughtfully and you feel the emphasis on the detail there. It sits on a beautiful stretch of beach, which is always empty and you can walk for miles in any direction. The sea was not swimmable while we were there due to the strong waves, but it was still beautiful just to look at it and enjoy the views.

My wife and I stayed at Lagoon Gate during our short trip to Tangalle. Due to the affordable cost of the lodgings, we were unsure what type or property it would be and what kind of service we would get; however, once arriving, we were very impressed with the property and the staff on site. The rooms are spacious and very clean, complete with a balcony to relax on in the evening. The swimming pool on site is warm and has a great surrounding area. As the property only has 6-8 guesthouses, it is not too overcrowded and an overall peaceful experience if you are looking to relax. For those active guests, kayaks are available to use free of change and gives you a chance to paddle over to the neighboring island to explore the beach (it took us about 25 Minutes in a double kayak). As it is in quite a remote location, there are no options to venture out for meals (unless you have a car); therefore, your only option is dining in the property’s on-site restaurant. This wasn’t a problem tho as the food was fantastic and the service even better. The portion sizes are massive and the owner was always giving us little extras, such as fruit, soup and even a few local spirits. The menu was reasonably priced, with the majority of main meals costing between 7-9 USD and had a fairly wide selection of local and international options. They also have a selection of beer and spirits for those looking to have a few drinks (also a stocked mini bar in your room). Over all, we would give our stay a solid 10/10 as it more than exceeded our expectations, considering the price. Will definitely be back in the future. Mark & Sarah

Doubletree By Hilton Weerawila Rajawarna Resort asub Weerawilas, 7,4 km kaugusel Tissa Wewast. Kohapeal on välibassein, tasuta eraparkla, spordikeskus ja aed. Great structure with all the amenities and services you might need, included a swimming pool; different restaurants where you can eat (à la carte or buffet), amazing SPA/Wellness Center, rooftop bars, and so on. It's the perfect place to stay if you want to relax for a couple of days while visiting Sri Lanka or if you want to do a safari in the Yala National Park.

Ashansa Lagoon Resort asub Tangalle'is, 100 meetri kaugusel Tangalle rannast. Kohapeal on tasuta jalgrattad, tasuta eraparkla, aed ja terrass. There is nothing chaotic and fast about this place, is as serene as possible, spacious, beautiful and comfortable with the attentive staff communicating via WhatsApp giving you the privacy you need. Surroundings are lush green and quiet, view over lagoon perfect. Breakfast plentiful with fruit platter. The best stay we have in Sri Lanka.

Lihtsalt Peace asub Tangalle'is, 400 meetri kaugusel Mawella rannast. Kohapeal on välibassein, tasuta eraparkla, spordikeskus ja aed. The breakfast was lovely, although they have a limited menu and a small-ish kitchen so they don't have the facilities to make something different everyday. That being said, the staff were super accommodating, if you did request something different. They also had these adorable resident pets - three dogs and a cat - who brought a lot of comfort and joy to our stay. We even got to see monkeys and peacocks hanging around the property.
