Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Lankavatara Ocean Retreat is located in Kalametiya, 15 km from Tangalle Lagoon. We stayed here for 2 nights and we loved it. The food we had was amazing at the restaurant. I would recommend it for even people who don’t stay there. Our room was a garden suite, very spacious, very cozy. The only downfall was the rough sea, but they have a cool pool. The beach was nice. The fishermen were fishing all the time which was interesting to watch.

Good Karma Hotel is located on Rekawa Beach in Tangalle, offering an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Free parking and a 24-hour front desk are available. It was a very lovely stay at Good Karma! The staff is just wonderful. We had a very nice dinner at the beach with great food & service. Also, due to low season we were able to check out late, staff also organized the transfer to the airport. We really appreciated this service! We chose the spacious room close to the pool/beach and restaurant, so everything was very convenient! Thanks a lot for such a cosy stay.

Our stay at Kayaam Wellness was absolutely fantastic. We booked the hotel spontaneously for two nights and were welcomed in the warmest and most genuine way from the very first moment. The food deserves a 10/10 – outstanding quality, beautifully prepared, and offering a great mix of traditional Sri Lankan dishes as well as Western options. There is truly something for everyone. The hotel has only a small number of rooms, which creates a very calm, peaceful atmosphere and makes it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The stunning pool and the direct access to a beautiful, quiet beach leave absolutely nothing to be desired. Every single member of the staff is exceptionally kind, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to the well-being of the guests. A very special thank you goes to the hotel manager Hemal, who went above and beyond to help organize several surprises that my partner had planned for me from Germany — all without my knowledge. Thanks to his effort and dedication, my stay was even more special than I could have imagined. The massages offered at the hotel are also an absolute must-do — deeply relaxing and perfectly executed. A very beautiful place for a relaxing holiday. It is immediately clear that the owners are Europeans. Everything is very clean, renovated, very clean pool. The hosts are very friendly - they will help and advise you on all questions. In the hotel restaurant, you can finally get non-spicy food. The beach is very wide and clean, but the waves will not allow swimming with children.

What made our week’s stay at Lagoon Gate Tangalle Resort truly exceptional was how well looked after we were by Lalith and his family. My friend and I were interested in yoga and exploring, and not only did Lalith connect us with everyone to ensure we had the best possible experiences, from yoga and kayaking to whale and turtle watching, but we got to discover the closely connected local community. Rooms were spacious and spotless, our meals were freshly home-cooked, and there was plenty to see in the tropical grounds. Tangalle is a stunning part of Sri Lanka, and we are grateful that we really got to make the most of it.

An amazing hotel surrounded by beautiful nature, filled with the sounds of birdsong and the peaceful melodies of the environment. The food was absolutely delicious. I had a full board package, and my favorite dish was the Sri Lankan prawn curry at the Turnstone restaurant. The service was incredibly friendly, and I felt well taken care of throughout my stay. A special mention to Harsha at the main restaurant, who took excellent care of my drinks and was always warm and welcoming. I also tried the Indian head massage at the hotel spa, which was deeply relaxing. The therapist asked how I was feeling and ensured the pressure was to my liking, making the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel has a large swimming pool set in the heart of nature, perfect for daytime relaxation. Throughout the day, I only saw about 10 people there, which made it feel peaceful and exclusive. I especially enjoyed sipping fresh coconut water by the pool – a truly refreshing experience. The room was very spacious and had everything I needed, including a minibar, coffee, and tea-making facilities. I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay at this hotel and would confidently recommend it to my friends. I will definitely return.

Very quiet place compared to other parts of the island. Large room, great terrace, friendly staff, good breakfast! The hotel has a large green area, 5 minutes walk to the beach. We were very tired and did not go to see the turtles, but next to the hotel there is a center where organized tours start every day at 20:30.
