Fantastic situation on a wonderful beach. Room high up but the view was tremendous. Bit of a hike to get to the room, but you could take the free golf buggy ride with the bell hops. Great poolside bar - swim up from pool if you wished. Lots of aquatic life to see along the marina including turtles.

Gorgeous hotel and impressive suites. Good furniture (amount, quality, arrangement, comfort). The deck had good chairs and table overlooking a waterfall pool for aesthetics and white noise, no swimmers. Beautiful foliage blocked our deck from view by other units. Perfect. Lots of swimming pools and lounge chairs, and a breakwater had been constructed to make some swimming sheltered from the pounding Pacific surf. The little beach bistro near the sandy beach did delicious made to order hamburgers if you didn't feel like giving up your lounge chairs to head up to the buffet for lunch. The kids and teenagers really enjoyed the self-serve soft ice cream machine. The buffets were generous and tasty. The live Barcelo musical performance was wonderful. To have seen the mariachi players and dancers we would've been happy to have driven into the city to catch a performance this good. It was a fabulous place for our 2 days.

Staff was amazing and kind. The shows were great, and an amazing way to close up the day. The beach is quite private, so not much people or people selling things. The food is great, and there is so much of it.
