Fantastic hostel, very new with all amenities you would want and need! Fabulous view from the terrasse, amazing pool, nice outdoors areas to relax!The staff was also truly amazing, kind, energetic and always down to organise events every day (and night!) Super social hostel while still allowing you to have some rest time (deck chairs and hammocks everywhere!!) Copious breakfast as well (the bagel 😋) A lot if stairs to reach the hostel (and the pool that is on top of the hostel) but it is well worth it!!!

Absolutely stunning property, larger than life, lovely pools, but the food at all the restaurants and buffet was some of the best I’ve had in the world. The spa was exceptional as well.

My husband and I stayed 5 nights in one of the king suites. The room was clean and welcoming and you can’t beat the incredible views. It felt very private and The bed was comfortable. Our favorite feature was the large sliding door which opened wide to make the large patio part of the living space. We booked a couples massage in our room and that was lovely. From the moment we arrived to our departure the staff was attentive, helpful and friendly. Basalto is located between two accessible beaches with a short walk and they have towels, chairs and umbrellas if needed. The staff booked us taxi rides when we asked and they were always on time or early. It’s a quick 10 minute ride into Punta Mita. The breakfast option included in the stay were plenty and delicious. I wanted to bag up some of the homemade granola it was that good. The lunch and dinner was fabulous! We travel quite a bit and this is some of the best food we’ve had on our vacations. Try the grilled shrimp and Baja tacos!! The cocktails were so refreshing and tasty and they had plenty of wine options as well. We enjoyed the upstairs pool, deck and bar with expansive views. It’s the perfect place to get some sun, watch the ocean, the birds flying and diving, read a book, and cool off in the pool. There is a small gym that has enough to get a quick workout in, but we preferred a run or walk on the beach. We would absolutely not hesitate to recommend Hotel Basalto and we hope to return there again sometime soon!

This hotel was clean and had a heated pool, which out little son loved. It was on the edge of the main road but still a close walk to the beach. Altogther, a fantastic stay!
