Yggdrasil Farmhotel Retreat, Spa & Yoga is located on Kvaløya island, 50-minutes drive from central Tromsø. Free WiFi access is available at the farm. Every little detail is thought through. One of the most charming hotel restaurants I have ever been to, with exceedingly delicious cakes and an exquisite and original breakfast; lunch and dinner are delicious too. Jacuzzi under northern lights is absolutely something. The sauna by the sea has breathtaking views. I would not hesitate coming back!

The property is located on beautiful beachfront and is very privately located. The home was warm and cozy.

The house is top level - easy check-in process, very spacious, with a parking space, in a very good location next to a big supermarket and across the bus stop. It is about 20 min walk from the center of the city. All amenities were provided for the guests, incl. some spices and basic products which was very helpful. The bathrooms are huge and with wonderful showers. There is a jacuzzi which we didn’t use. The sauna was a great benefit in the winter. The TV had more programs that I have ever seen in my life so sports and film fans would appreciate it:) Highly recommend it.

When we arrived we were told the lodge was supposed to feel like a home away from home and it was exactly that. Cosy and comfortable. We felt very relaxed but at the same time the staff's attention to detail and hospitality was amazing. We loved chilling in the lounge area where the fire was always on, chilled music playing and the perfect ambience. - The staff, in particular Oliver, Alton and Romero made our stay incredible. The staff were very attentive, knowledgable, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. - The food was amazing. 5* quality food every evening. The chef checked regularly if we liked the food and came to the table to chat with us each evening about the food. We loved everything but for example for other guests he went out of his way to make something that more suited their tastes. - The activities. We did husky sledding, whale watching and the northern lights tour. They were all excellent and well organised. We didn't get to see the northern lights on our tour due to heavy cloud coverage but the tour guide still went out of his way to try and make the excursion enjoyable. Luckily we had seen the northern lights the previous night sat in the hot tub. They have a full equipment room with everything you need for the excursions including snow suits, snow boots, hats, gloves etc. They will make sure you are well equipped for whatever activity you have booked. - Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. I would 100% book this trip again and would recommend this lodge to everyone.
