The summer terrace is a relaxing setting for a drink. Dinner can be enjoyed at the hotel restaurant, Kosmos. Hotel is situated in nice area. The variety of food range is one of the best. The people working there are nice and helpful.

A fireplace, flat-screen TV and well-equipped kitchen are found in each cottage at Nedre Strand Hytteutleie. All have a seating area with sofa, as well as a bathroom with shower. Some also feature a private sauna. Wonderfull little cottage area as part of a camp center. We stayed in the winter months so it was not too busy. Very close to the ski center (5-10 min drive) and the local supermarket. Very nice staff. Extra marks for letting us check-out later so we could ski the entire of the last day. The cottage was a nice sized 2 room (beds for 6) cottage, well equiped and right on the lake shore. If we come back to Vrådal we will stay here again.

The wellness centre features a hot tub, saunas and aromatherapy showers. A range of activities are available on site, including climbing, tennis and curling. Two cafés are also located on site. Brand new room with lots of space. Excellent beds plus a comfy sofa. Food in the restaurant was simple but very well prepared. While the menu choice is limited the staff was very accomodating to our dietary needs even preparing personal alternatives in case of allergies.

Please note that the breakfast is served between 08:00 - 10:30. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING: fresh, quality ingredients...from the eggs, to the smoked fish, to the freshly baked bread. We also loved walking down the short path to the bathing area, which was magical - what a luxury. The owner, Lars, made us feel right at home and helped us to appreciate the history of Langesund Bad; a true gem!

Skjærgården also provides a 4000 m² swimming park for an extra fee, which includes a large swimming area connected to a heated outdoor pool, a hot tub, sauna and a steam sauna. The staff was accommodating when we needed an extra chair in the room and when we had questions. In particular, Gunn was most helpful. The facility was clean, and the food was very good.
