This is a great hotel. Excellent location with nice view of the hills around Lamego. Good infrastructure, nice pool, spa, etc. Rooms were spacious with nice view of the hills, bathroom also very nice. The service was outstanding, at reception Jessica and Rita, both lovely. Same at brekfast, which was excellent. We had dinner at the hotel, it was also great quality food.

This was a very unusual and memorable experience. The conversion of the historic monastery into a luxury hotel is beautiful. Our room was excellent and incredibly comfortable, and both the spa and the pool facilities were top-notch. The staff was exceptionally helpful and welcoming throughout our entire stay. Additionally, the hotel restaurant was excellent—we had dinner there and it was absolutely delicious. Everything about this stay was fantastic.

Special thanks and great respect to the chef — every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted exceptional. We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the hotel, and I couldn’t be happier. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We enjoyed excellent wine (with special thanks to the sommelier) and had a wonderful, relaxing time at the spa. This is wonderful place to stay and explore the Douro Valley. Really helpful staff, great facilities and we were delighted with our complimentary breakfast and daily bakery delivery. Lovely walk to the nearby waterfall. The restaurant is fabulous.
