From the first step in to the place we get the filling of being very welcomed. The admin staff Cristina was a great person, very friendly and helpful. The location was very clean and meet the best standards.

Set in Tău Bistra, 40 km from Sarmizegetusa Regia, Poarta Raiului offers a restaurant, and a spa and wellness centre with an outdoor swimming pool, a sauna and a hot tub. New spa. Great breakfast. Helpful crew!

Set in Alba Iulia, 23 km from Câlnic Citadel, Allegria Hotel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. This hotel ticked so many of my boxes I had to review it. On my road trip to Bucharest I wanted an overnight stay where a) I could arrive by 7pm and still have a swim and get something to eat, b) charge my car and c) rest and relax. This hotel offered everything and more. I could park and charge my car directly at the entrance. Pool open until 9:00 pm. Generous opening times of the (included) dinner buffer until 10:00pm. The buffet was as good as a buffet can get. Very generous check-out time of 12:00 noon. The hotel is modern and the room was very big. And what's more: everything worked. No broken lights, no shower heads falling down all the time, no smelly carpet or squeaky bed. In Romania that is very exceptional. There was a minibar/fridge. Unfortunately no coffee at the room but easy to hop over to the breakfast buffet and poor a take-away coffee.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, A FRAME 1 TRANSALPINA is set in Petreşti. This campground has a private pool, a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. The cabin is very clean, new and well maintained, it still smells of pine which is very cool, bathroom is very clean and it has everything you need. Tv even has Netflix, outside you have a two hammocks near, and two welcoming cats at the property. The owner very nice, he helped us with setting the grill. A very nice place to spend a chill weekend. Definitely convinced to come back another time.

One of the best vacation I had! Staying at Varfu Muntelui is paradise: location, view, excellent local food & drinks made by our hosts, "ciubar", "foc de tabara", "ceaun", trails in the forest to find mushrooms, pick mountain' blueberries and raspberries, fresh trout, local jams, local cheeses and "sunca" etc etc Plus the hosts (Mia and Adi) which will do everything to make you feel in heaven. I will come back for sure!

The food was very good, staff very friendly and helpful, room was very clean, and the surroundings were very nice and peaceful.

Featuring pool with a view and views of mountain, Casa Dives - Transylvania is a guest house situated in a historic building in Pianu de Sus, 32 km from Câlnic Citadel. Casa Dives is a wonderfully quiet and relaxing place with welcoming hosts that have helped me get to a few nearby places as well as suggest activities to do in the area. I've chosen to have massages almost every day, nap in the hammock, enjoy the swimming pool and with the nearby horseback riding my days were full without needing much else. The breakfast is generous and filling and dinners give you a taste of traditional Romanian food. Would come back again!
