Not much light pollution so it’s easy to see the milkyway! Also a very short trip to Siljan, which is 100% recommended. Peaceful en quiet.

Housed in a 15th-century farmhouse, this Dalarna countryside hotel is 400 meters from Lake Siljan. It offers free Wi-Fi and charming rooms with luxury beds and a flat-screen TV. Très bel établissement! Le prix était déjà à la base tout à fait correct, mais en plus nous avons été surclassés dans une magnifique suite. La région est de toute beauté (lac Sijlan). Nous regrettons juste de ne pas avoir eu assez de temps pour explorer les environs, ça donne envie de revenir. Le spa est très beau également.

L'Elite Hotel Brage est situé dans le centre-ville de Borlänge, au cœur de Dalarna, à 5 minutes à pied de la gare centrale. We liked everything! Parking in the garage was convenient and we didn’t have to worry about snow or cold outside, so worth paying that extra for the comfort. We booked a slot in Vana SPA - simply perfect, worth the extra pay: a small but reasonable pool as the number of guests at a time is limited, not crowded, a good sauna and cold-plunge bath, cozy bathrobes, individual/pair chézlongs with big towels, drinks and light snack for extra pay and most importantly - a super welcoming and caring personnel. The lady that worked on the evening 22/11/2025 was fantastic! The same goes for all the other staff that we met - friendly and welcoming indeed, thank you for that! Also bed was perfect for us as we enjoy a bit more steady madrases. When back home I thought of reaching out to hotel and asking the type of madrases that they have and maybe replacing one at our home :) I think we had a deluxe double room with a sofa bed for our son, it was big enough, clean and we got a small welcome note from the hotel - it made us feel welcomed and candies made our son super happy. Breakfast had plenty of choices so we were happy there as well.

The house was warm even in extremely low temperatures (-22°C). You could warm yourself up by lighting the wood-burning stove, which added to the relaxing atmosphere. The house features a large dining room, living room, two bathrooms, two showers, a sauna, and a massage chair. The living room features a smart TV and Bluetooth speaker, as well as board games and cards. The kitchen is well-equipped, and downstairs there's a laundry room and drying room. Less than 4 km to the supermarket.
