This isn't just luxurious; it's opulent. A brand new hotel (briefly known as Golden Imperial, now Golden Sun), still doesn't have a gym nor pool, but apparently those are coming, but in any case I didn't need those. I splurged on a corner Premier Suite, and while I knew there'd be a balcony, I didn't expect four of them! And four vases of fresh flowers, including many roses, a very nice touch. Beautiful huge bathtub. Excellent buffet breakfast, and you can enjoy it outside in the generally perfect weather. Speaking of weather, I turned off the A/C as soon as I checked in, and didn't use it for the whole week; the breeze through the patio doors was a perfect temperature, even at night. And the air is clean in this part of town, beside the lake. Location is better than I thought. Yes, it's a bit of walk into the heart of town, but there's a plaza with underground mall across the street, with festival activities above (hot air balloons during my stay), and restaurants and shopping down below. Valet parking is a nice touch. For my bicycle (hah) they didn't even need a ticket or room number. In the mornings I just asked for "the bicycle". :) Tip: balconies on the top floor (5) are smaller than the lower floors, big enough to stand but not suitable for furniture. My request for a higher floor (granted) foiled my desire to spend time on the balcony. No big deal since I could open the doors and bring the fresh air inside.

Great location, located 15 min walk from the Crazy house, it’s right next to a very busy bakery, and they have their own coffee shop next door. Very friendly staff with 24h reception. Room was spacious, air conditioning was working perfectly. We ran into some few issues on our first night but it got foxed in a timely manner. There’s also an indoor patio which was great to avoid mosquitoes

For those who are inspired by history and style, look no further than Ana Mandara Villas Dalat Resort & Spa. Located within DaLat city, it is amazing that this park-like setting still feels very peaceful, and walking around between the villas felt like a step back in time. They preserved the French hill-town setting with lovely big trees and grounds, with good historic plaques with informative descriptions of their origins and the people who built these homes. We especially enjoyed morning YOGA near the pool side one Sunday morning. (Thank-you so much for offering yoga for guests on weekends~!!) Loved the afternoon tea and breakfasts set in one of the beautiful villas with high ceilings, windows overlooking the grounds. There is a beautiful gingerbread church centrepiece (for Christmas decor) decorating the central table. The little deserts for high tea were delightful whilst sipping team and relaxing mid-afternoon. The breakfast was beyond exceptional, catering to all sorts of tastes, including Asian, European... One of us is vegetarian, and the staff were very accommodating if we would have wanted a special vegan meal prepared for breakfast, but I could find enough food at the buffet to still have a nourishing and ample breakfast. For meat eaters, there is so much varied food available so carnivores will be especially happy with all the offerings. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and accommodating for our needs. They wanted to give us a huge room 52 meters, which was an enormous room, bathroom and lounge room. (Upgrade of what we had booked which was about 28 meters~~). Unfortunately, a loud karaoke party was very audible from adjacent street (this is a karaoke establishment off the Ana Mandara property), so we reported this to the front desk staff. They said the music should be off by 10:00 pm, according to country-wide sound rules, but they offered to let us move to a more quiet (and smaller room, likely the one we would have gotten right away) about mid-evening, so we could get some more rest as we were very tired from travel.
