The hotel is very lovely, the rooms are amazing, clean and decorated with good taste. The service was very good and the food delicious. The breaksfat is definitely worth it! And we’ve loved the gym and the spa.

From the moment you enter the property, you know you're in for a special treat! Upon entering reception, we were warmly greeted and efficiently checked in. After that, we had a personal tour around the property and then were shown our wonderful chalet. The deck is large and has a fabulous view of the canyon forest. The bed is comfortable. The bathing area is AMAZING. The restaurant staff is excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu and the area. The food is great! We already have it in mind for our next visit to the Storms River area!

We only stayed on night, but wished for more. The setting is spectacular. Property is beautiful. Food was very good. Some of the staff went above and beyond. Some were fine. The bar tender, and the quad bike guide were fabulous. Definitely would recommend it.

Viajamos un grupo de mas de 20 personas. Es como dormir en un museo del Karoo, la gente super agradable y muy recomendable cuando estas cruzando el pais. Tenemos mucha experiencia en viajes por Sudafrica, ya que organizamos vijaes por todo el Sur de africa y quien quiera tener una bonita experiencia, dormir en una casa colonial tradicional y disfrutar de la gastronomia, este es su sitio. This place is spectacular! I arrived as a solo traveler but I'm already planning to return with my husband and friends next time. The staff go above and beyond – from welcoming you with a drink to offering advice for a walk. The staff clearly like to make their guests happy and they were so fun to talk with! Dinner was exceptional; it was the best meal I had in South Africa. The menu has many courses and options to choose from. The kitchen accommodated by dietary restrictions without question – thank you! I highly recommend going for a late afternoon/dusk stroll and sunrise walk. It is safe; the animals keep a healthy distance. I saw impalas, blue wilderbeest, giraffes, and zebras on my walks. There is a great 5km roundtrip walk to a viewing platform on the back of the property - amazing views of the river and valley area at sunset. At sunrise, most of the animals were gathered on the front lawn. Other things you can do on the property: Take a dip in the infinity pool, sun bathe on the deck, request a drive of the property if you don't prefer to walk, read some books (they have many on wildlife and the history and culture of SA), sit by the fire, enjoy the cigar lounge, order a drink at the bar (it seems to have everything and you can ask for a drink anytime) and sit outside by the firepit. I wish I stayed for several more days to do it all!

El desayuno fue genial, muy abundante y varias opciones para elegir. El dormitorio muy espacioso y tenía todo lo que podés necesitar. El pueblo es muy chico así que te queda cerca de todo.

The historic Royal St. Andrews Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre is located in Port Alfred. The rooms were very well turned out and very spacious, the staff was exceptionally accommodating, and, and the food delicious.
