Even though we arrived at the hotel much later than the stated check we were greeted in person and everything was explained to us in detail. The hotel itself was beautiful and we really felt at home for the 4 nights we were there. With a 5min walk to local subway or 10-15min walk to Nagoya station, the location was close to public transport but still nice and quiet.

We were provided great tea and even a kitchen to cook in. There was even little samurai trinkets around the area, including traditional attire for us to wear and take pictures with. For anyone with a little creative side, there is a book provided at the counter to write about your experiences and draw any doodles.

猿投温泉金泉閣 offers a sauna and free private parking, and is within 13 km of Toyota Stadium and 20 km of Koran Valley. The food was amazing. You must have dinner and breakfast as a part of your reservation. The onsens were really wonderful! There were private and public ones on-site and another large public onsen across the street. The mountain location is about 25 min drive away from the train station, but they run a shuttle service from the Fujigaoka Train Station at 4:50pm every day. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Ghibli Park was a 15 minute shuttle ride.
