Boasting a garden, terrace, shared lounge and free WiFi, The Guest House Japan Hakuba is situated in Hakuba, 2.8 km from Hakuba Iwatake Ski Area and 16 km from Hakuba Cortina Ski Area. The owners Koji and Chikako are beautiful people and extremely welcoming and friendly. Very helpful with getting us around Hakuba.

Eternal Flame features a restaurant, bar and free WiFi. Free parking is available on site. The main street of Hakuba Echoland is a 6-minute walk away, and features many restaurants/bars. Easily one of the best if not the best stay we encountered on all our travels. Nao and Kimmi were superb. So nice and accommodating and even getting us reservations in restaurants on our behalf. They also helped us set the rental of ski gear and tickets with a discounted rate! We will be back for sure!

Le Bocage – Hakuba Echoland Chalets are situated in Echoland, a popular nightlife site where more than 30 bars and restaurants can be found. The property offers free in-room WiFi and on-site parking. This house was amazing and provided very clear and easy to use instructions on entry. It was very big and was nice and warm inside after a cold day in the snow. It is a short 5 minute drive from most of the ski slopes which were a great experience. Good location as there are heaps of restaurants within walking distance

Centrally located in the Echo Land district, Hakuba Echo Hotel and Apartments offers comfortable rooms with mountain views. The shuttles to the major mountains every morning were incredibly convenient and got us there in time for first chair. (Thanks Ryan!)

Happokan is only a 3-minute drive from Hakuba Happo-One Ski Resort, and brings its guests cosy Western and Japanese-style rooms, a hot spring bath and free Wi-Fi at the lobby. Had a great stay at happokan. Hosts were warm and welcoming and very attentive to guests’ preferences. Breakfast was delicious. Room was clean and cosy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for accom around Happo.

Located just a 10-minute walk from Happo One Ski Resort, Hakuba Alpine Hotel features simple and clean rooms and outdoor hot spring baths. It is just a 5-minute drive from JR Hakuba Train Station. First time staying at Hakuba Alpine Hotel, and it definitely won’t be our last. This will absolutely be our go-to place whenever we’re back in Hakuba. The hotel is owned by a wonderful gentleman whose family has run it for over 100 years, and you can really feel the care and pride in the way it’s operated. He was incredibly accommodating and even helped us book a taxi to the station on our last day when it was early and too icy to walk. The location is fantastic — most things are within walking distance, including Happo-One Ski Resort, plenty of great restaurants, Lawson’s, the bus terminal, and more dining options nearby. Breakfast was generous and kept us full for hours, and the onsen was the perfect way to relax after a long day on the slopes. We stayed in a tatami room — the mattress was a little thin, but it was all part of the experience and we made do. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would happily return again. Highly recommend.

A 5-minute drive from Hakuba Happo-One Ski Resort, Brownie Cottages offers rental ski gear, and apartments and free-standing cottages with free Wi-Fi. Great location, excellent cottages.

Set in Hakuba, Il Bosco offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy free bikes, a terrace and a restaurant. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Amazing place! I spent around 1.5 month there (probably one of their longest-stayed guest) for the ski season from mid Feb and It felt like a luxurious home. Koki and Naomi were super nice and friendly, and they kept the fireplace going every night so that you always feel the warmth. I invited my friend over to taste the heavenly dinner prepared by the hosts and they even didn't charge me for my dinner nights because of my long stay, which was very generous and sweet of them. The lodge was super well-quipped and so its very good for long stay too. It was hard to leave the beautiful place; would definitely love to return if I have the chance! Thanks a lot for the lovely experience!

Featuring an indoor and an open-air hot spring bath, Bergtour Marukita offers Japanese-style rooms, free wired internet and Japanese multi-course (kaiseki) dinners. Great food, get the breakfast and dinner! We were there for 5 days and were served different hearty every night. The staff were warm and welcoming. Truly a great stay!!
