Surprisingly very spacious and very nicely designed with lovely scent. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were great and I’d love to come back.

The female owner has an inquisitive mind, a warm personality, and a kind heart. Her English is good enough to communicate and ask for help. The sauna and the private onsen in the room are top-notch. I did not check the public onsen with natural hot spring, but heard it's amazing too. I booked the 5th floor with an ocean view, and the private onsen experience during starry night and the set rise were indeed amazing! The hotel itself is located in a remote little cute fish town called osatsucho, where you can find fishmen and women harvesting and selling the Ise lobsters in the morning by the port. It was a very unique and interesting experience to stay in that little town for two days during the winter when it was not crowded at all. The nearest convenience store is 10 + miles away. It was a very natural, grounding, even retreat-like experience to me, and it was drastically different from my experience in Tokyo, Nayoga, or Osaka. I did spot a few demolished houses with broken windows in the town, not sure if it's because of COVID or during the winter when there were fewer tourists. The big plus is the Shinmei shrine next door to the hotel, which is a very calming and spiritual place to visit and stay for a bit too.

No es el Hotel más moderno de los que hemos estado pero volveríamos sin duda

Just a short walk away from the train station, Ise Jingu outer shrine (Geku), with good surrounding food options. Staff were helpful and professional, had a good command of English. Decent room and bathroom size. There's also a library cafe which doubles up as a lounge for guest use for free in between meal periods.
