We took a taxi from town bus stop to location. Realize it is 30 minutes outside of town! Met the manager to give us a quick overview. There were 5 of us. Three bedrooms. A couple took the front with a King bed. We took the middle room with a queen bed, and the daughter took the 3rd room. Each room had similar bathrooms with showers. The two secondary rooms had the queen bed and bunk beds for family's. There are no XOXO's around so the best approach for this property is to hire the staff for the 3 meals a day. We set with the manager and planned out 3 days of meals soon after arrival. Water is provided and the kitchen is fully stocked. They do the shopping for you. Even buying alcohol too. Two very nice locals prepared the breakfast and lunches for us on what times we requested. Then for the dinner they prepped things for us and all we had to do is pop it on the stove or oven if needed. Over the top fantastic service. Best value anywhere on any trip. We were two families meeting over Thanksgiving so we were so appreciative of this service. We took a beach walk each morning before breakfast and after dinner. Leo is the main taxi driver and can be arranged to and from town. He was wonderful. We went on a turtle release excursion about 20 minutes South. Our stay was 7 days and 4 of those days we went back into town.

Agata House is a lovely, gorgeous house. It has an amazing pool, is very close to the beach, is unique, and has terrific views. There is a little path through the jungle to get to the beach. We went the first week of July, and we were mostly alone at the beach. Very relaxing if you like nature and you don't mind living kinda rustic. The place (other than the trash) was clean. The stars look amazing. The ocean was warm and so blue (not swimmable).

The place is really cool. You feel like one with nature. The lounge area and the kitchen upstairs are chill. The rooms are nice and you feel great. Same with the pool. When we arrived, there was a hatch of mosquitos, so it really made it difficult to fully enjoy the place. I imagine it's a seasonal thing. Anyhow, Mark was great, and we had the company of the local cat, we called her snow, which we loved.

Héctor is super accommodating as a host. The casita is on his property but very private. It has a well-appointed kitchen with a fridge, Toaster oven and two-burner gas stove top. The bedroom and bath are upstairs with a great king-size bed and nice linens. There are fans on both levels and A/C on the top level. Simply opening the windows at night and using the fans is our favorite way to sleep. Lots of windows with screens throughout the casita. The shower has hot water - which is not a given in rural Oaxaca. Hector also provided us with a 5 gallon bottle of water. There is a coffee pot and an Oster blender conveniently located on the counter. My husband swam in the pool outside our room daily. It’s cold and refreshing.
