Rodrigo is a wonderful host!! He met us at the boat dock and walked us to the property, again for a boat tour we had booked, and again when we left. We had bad internet advice and thought there was an ATM in town, so we were unable to pay in cash as he had requested up front. However he accepted our payment by an alternate method (Tilopay) which we appreciated. The property is full of beautiful tropical plants and is very quiet since it’s at the end of the town’s developed area and is right on the boundary of the National Park. We enjoyed watching hummingbirds and spider monkeys from the front porch, and could hear Black and White owls at night. We had wonderful views of Great Green Macaws, Keel-billed Toucans, and two-toed sloths in the town. From the casa you are still handy to restaurants and supermercados and fruterías. The kitchen is equipped for cooking meals, and Rodrigo provides good suggestions if you want to eat out. Don’t miss the Sea Turtle Conservancy at the other end of town! Even if it’s not turtle laying or hatching season, the video and displays are excellent. We really enjoyed a guided canoe tour for the two of us with guide Kendall.

Great and hidden "secret" small boutique accommodation nearby Puerto Viejo del Talamanca (20-30 minutes walk) and Playa Negra (5 minutes walk). The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and they gave some good tips and hints e.g. for Cahuita national park visit. The accommodation is in separated houses with one spacious room and huge terrance. Each morning they are serving a coffee at 6:30AM before actual breakfast time (07:30AM). It was to drink coffee in the morning in the terrance and listen the jungle / garden sounds. The place also have nice small garden and big roof terrance to walk / stay.

The owner, Eduardo, and the team were absolutely lovely. So friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean, well stocked with kitchen equipment. The pool was very clean, breakfast was great, we saw so much wildlife just from the garden, sloths, iguanas, monkeys. It was just up the road from the beach, very near a couple of bars for dinner/ drinks. A calypso band played at the nearby Reggae bar one evening which was fantastic. Edwardo organised a couple of excursions for us to waterfalls and a snorkeling trip on the coral reef where we swam with Rays, a turtle, many fish. So pleased we came here.

We loved staying in this incredible jungle hideout! It's in a beautiful and peaceful location, surrounded by rainforest. We got to see so many animals just right outside our door. Our host was wonderful and had great recommendations for things to do in the area. This was my favorite place we stayed on our costa rica trip!

Ubicado a 5 minutos a pie de Playa Chiquita, Namaitami ofrece un jardín, una terraza y alojamiento con aire acondicionado, patio y wifi gratis. Hay una cocina totalmente equipada y un baño privado. Todo estaba muy limpio y cómodo. Tenían secadora de cabello, las mujeres lo agradecemos mucho.
