We were a trio of friends visiting the Douro region for the first time and this was a fantastic experience. Driving into the Quinta and opening the doors to the house was a dream come true for the beauty and peace and quiet of the vast vineyards. Breakfast was delivered daily to the house and we enjoyed lazing by the pool and walking around the estate. Fernanda hosted us for the winery walk and tasting and we ended up with several bottles of wine to take home. Thank you for the warmth and hospitality we felt at the Quinta. We hope to return soon.

Beautiful and well renovated quinta, both inside in the room and outside at the pool and the grounds (lemons, blueberries, lavender...). What a wonderful place to stay. Location was perfect for a 3 day trip to the area. The facilities were great and the welcome wine was, well, very welcome. Mario and Helga were superb, very responsive and helpful in organising taxis (Laurinda, the taxi driver, lovely too). The facilities late great and the claw foot bath with a view over the valley was a the icing on the cake. A fabulous, relaxing and beautiful place. P.s the parking was not as tricky as some reviews suggest (there were 3 vehicles in the parking lot for the first 2 days with no problem - bit tight getting in / out but not too bad).

The home is situated on a beautiful view hillside surrounded by grapevines. We were there for 3 nights. It is a family run agrotourismo, and they could not have been more welcoming. The house itself was spotlessly clean. Jorge welcomed us and showed us the property. We had the whole house to ourselves, with a complete kitchen. We decided to have our dinners at the Quinta, which was a good choice as the roads are curvy for our American driving style. We brought our own charcuterie one night, and another night we were able to have our dinner prepared by the Quinta owners. It was a delicious Portuguese meal from appetizers through fish and vegetables, steak and potatoes, desserts and wine. Amazing. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and walking the 2 mile rural lane with views all around. This is a special place, and we thank the family for sharing it with us!

We liked the personal approach and introduction of the house. And also helped us orient us in the town. Spacious, comfortable for the whole family. Kitchen fully equipped with basic ingredients for a breakfast. Washing mashine was also useful.
