Very central location, walkable to all the attractions, but also near bus and metro stops if needed a break from walking up the hills or to get to the airport. Friendly and helpful staff. Very welcome voucher for free glass of port given on check-in. Spacious and quiet double room with good en suite shower room. Cleaned every day and water etc was replenished. Air conditioning worked very well. Restaurant is not part of the hotel, but you don’t need to go outside to get to it - just through an adjoining door. Breakfast buffet was very good - coffee was in jugs, but you could order fresh drinks (eg cappuccino etc) from the bar if you preferred. Good selection of croissants and cakes, juices, fruit and yoghurt, and cooked breakfast also available. We also had a few evening meals in the restaurant, and they were also good, with a large choice on the menu.

We loved the beautiful breakfast and it was a excellent start to our day. We would then walk the riverside path into Porto. This would take about a hour. We would book a ride back to the hotel or walk after exploring the sights. Every afternoon we would sit by the pool and watch the sunset. Then get a Uber back into the city to enjoy a dinner in Porto.
