If you come by boat it takes some minutes by walk, but the owner Gagga came to pick us by car. She is a professional and attentive host, always available in case of need. Breakfast is majestic. What you need to spend the day making excursions and hiking around the island. Rooms and beds are super comfortable, warm and welcoming. Even if as an Italian prices in Iceland are quite high for me, I found the price very fair and the service outstanding. Don’t miss your chance to stay at the Básar Guesthouse while on the island. A diamond inside a larger diamond that is Grimsey.

Featuring a private pier and an impressive sea view, Tungulending Guesthouse is located 13 km outside of Húsavík village. Relaxation options include enjoying a drink at the bar. Great place to be! Situated directly at the sea, the place has been carefully renovated and comes with a special flair. We came after the main tourist season was over and had the place to ourselves, which was quite a luxury. The host wasn’t onsite, but we were in touch via the phone and he was very attentive and helpful. Pity we only stayed one night.

A recently renovated apartment situated in Siglufjörður, Scenic Penthouse - Ocean view & skylight windows features a garden. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi.... So clean and comfortable. Cooked a nice dinner and relaxed after walking around the town. The kitchen had all the basics. The skylights are fun and allowed us to see small/mild northern lights on the night we stayed. Town is small so we could walk all around easily from this apartment. Loved seeing the school children heading out for a hike past the door in the morning.

Large well equipped one bedroom flat. Booked an hour before we came and they immediately had the cleaner get the place ready for us.

Hlíðarvegur 20 - Gagginn is set in Siglufjörður. This apartment offers a lift and free WiFi. It is very spacious and well equipped. We ski toured with Scandic Guides and stayed in the apartment. We love the local bakery, info centre, grocery shop and pool. All was good. Weather extremely wild!!
