The property was very clean and the staff were so friendly. I reserved a room for a birthday celebration and had balloons delivered to the hotel. Upon check-in, the woman at the front desk gave me a complimentary upgrade to a suite in honor of the birthday celebration. I thought that was such a kind gesture! I would definitely recommend Ayres Hotel in Costa Mesa to friends and family! By the way, the bistro Le Cheatu, has a great brunch!

First impression upon driving into facility: very clean parking lot, clean, painted building, great color palate for hotel, very good, visible “OC” sign on building. Excellent service from front desk staff, upon arrival and leaving the next day. Very clean room, comfortable beds. Good selection for breakfast in the morning.

This hotel is a newer structure and very well maintained. It also has a parking garage for guests which is easily accessible. The room was large and quiet, beds very comfortable, nice bathroom too. The breakfast options are typical to the chain with a limited fruit selection, otherwise it was fine. Easy access to the highway makes the location ideal to explore the local attractions and shopping centres. Friendly staff, would stay here again.

Clean and safe, not too far from the beach and coastal towns by car and with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

Back in 2017 they still served brekkie and the pool was great. It was still a super 8 back then. Admittedly I haven’t stayed there in the past 5 years. It looks exactly the same though. The pub was really cool and a nice place to meet some locals. Newport beach is a 15 min drive away and worth watching the nightly sunsets at the pier.
