We loved the way the B&B functions with the separate entrance to the room and the corner with the small fridge, microwave, cutlery etc and all the goodies Gillian left for us to make our breakfast. The variety and quantity was incredible and there were even homemade pancakes :-). The room is beautifully decorated and we loved that it was right on the river so we could hear the soothing sound of the river and the birds that also enjoy this beautiful setting. Gillian is a very attentive and kind host and went above and beyond. We cannot recommend this place enough and would love to stay there again.

Very thoughtfully stocked cupboards eg biscuits, tea and coffee and all the essential cupboard items you could need, especially when travelling with children. Super clean / hygienic and made us feel very safe in respect to Covid. Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay here again.

This is a return stay to Emahroo and we are already booked up for another. I think this speaks to the quality of not just the property (which is stunning) but also the communication with the host and her lovely little touches. The location is central to this lovely village, near the beach, across the road is a chipper and there is a couple of cracking pubs within stumbling distance. The apartment has a clean, classic decor with a lovely open fire and well appointment kitchen. The beds are so comfortable. We didn't take our dog this time but that's because it was our mini-moon and we wanted to lie-in!

There are two very lovely and comfortable bedrooms, a great lounge area with comfy sofas and TV, a sweet little well-equipped kitchen and a clean, up-to-date bath. The location is incredible -- just a short walk to the beach, restaurants and parking. You can even walk to the AMAZING Dunnottar Castle if you're up for a 1.5 mile hike. The apartment is so beautifully decorated that I felt happy every time we came back to it. The owners communicated with us almost instantly when we had questions. I was really sad to leave. Very highly recommended.

The bed was a great size and very comfortable. The shower was excellent. The restaurant was very good and breakfast was really good.

There is a comprehensive but small shop on site if you needed something. We liked the location but we don’t mind driving to our destinations.
