A great base for exploring with Bruges, Gent and Antwerp within an hour's drive, and Dordrecht a little further away. Fantastic historic toll house building, tastefully renovated with nice gardens. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast good, room good.

The exceptional breakfast The decoration and room in general All the above taking into account that this is a (brand new) small hotel. The rooms are (slightly) smaller than those that I usually have in a 4-star hotel. The breakfast can easily compete with even the ones in the Van Der Valk or Hilton hotels It is close to the plant without the need to get into Gent (which is a hell to even approach it with a car and you get guaranteed a big fine for something you did wrong without knowing) and the hotel is situated in the green

our recent weekend stay at anno 1673 was a most delightful treat in the countryside of ertvelde... isabel & mario have built a beautiful B&B that is modern in its facilities and function with a tasteful nod to architectural design and history...the surrounding open farmland and the peacefulness makes for a very relaxing atmosphere to sit & enjoy an evening glass of wine or morning koffie... our room had everything we needed, very comfortable & spacious, and the few requests we made, were given promptly & much to our satisfaction... including dinner recommendations for il posto giusto ... so good, we ate there twice! and then, there was breakfast... fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh breads with meats, cheeses and fresh strawberries with fresh-whipped cream on top embellished with shavings of white chocolate...sinful & delicious which made for a perfect start to a great day... we enjoyed getting to know mario & isabel during our stay, and look forward to visiting again...
