Overlooking Cherbourg in La Glacerie, Le Manoir de la Fieffe is set in a 16th-century private mansion within 4 hectares of botanical gardens.

The whole stay was exceptional. The hosts are so welcoming and they have such a beautiful, clean and wonderfully tasteful Manor House. The breakfast was so beautifully presented and we had a different sweet or pastry each morning to try and do relaxing in the breakfast room with lovely classical music in the background to start the day! Absolutely beautiful stay. Would definitely recommend to couples for a stay away. Really good value for money for the experience. Less suitable for children.

The house is a 19th century building close to the centre and to the ferry departure, ideal at the start or end of your holiday. Christelle speaks good English and her warm enthusiastic personality gave us a welcome that was very sincere. She is artistic and funny with a wry sense of humour. The breakfast was excellent, good bread and a good choice of fruits and jams, but was also artistically arranged on the table! Her paintings are hung around the house. My wife loved the whole experience. I loved the practicalities of the place: free parking in the street, good facilities and tasty breakfast. Cherbourg has a good choice of restaurants and the Thursday market was great.

Located in Brix, just 10 km from Cherbourg, Chateau Le Val offers elegant guest accommodation and has a communal garden with a terrace and children’s playground.

A very interesting stay - our room was actually an entire unit with kitchen, living room and 2 bedrooms overlooking the garden. The rooms are ornately presented - there’s abundant criss cross of wall papers all nicely presents the room. The walk to the room kept the kids interested. It would have been a kids happy lair if all the rooms are opened and just lose yourself inside the chateau.
