It features a restaurant with a summer terrace, serving Swiss and international cuisine. The restaurant is closed on Monday evenings, on Tuesdays and on Wednesdays. A very well maintained cozy place with excellent food at the restaurant! Great location - close by all the landmarks, and at the same time a bit away from the crowded areas, which guarantees you calm nights. All the facilities are in a great shape, personnel is super welcoming and as mentioned above the food is really nice. Breakfast is simple, but has all the ingredients to get charged for the day. i would like to thank the whole team for our fantastic stay!

The cosy, wood-panelled rooms at the Waldgasthaus Lehmen all have a modern bathroom. We stayed 2 nights beginning of June. If you like traditional places, you should visit Waldgasthaus Lehmen. You would be surrounded by natural forest with a view on Appenzell Alps. One of the most common sound during the day is various bells on cow necks. We were lucky to see how Appenzell farmers bring their cows to the mountains. The farmers have very beautiful cloths! On Saturday we saw a group of farmers, who came in their traditional dresses to Lehmen restaurant and had a few hours of singing and enjoying food. The restaurant is very good, if you like Swiss food. You must be hiking in that region, otherwise food might be too heavy. I had pork steak, pork schnitzel and beef steak with noodles and mushrooms. All dishes were very tasty. You have to try local beer! And Lehmen whisky! Highly recommended! Very nice! Service is impeccable, fast and attentive. All personnel is very friendly. Breakfast is wonderful! I would prefer, if it started at 7 instead of 8… Our room 17 was great, soft pillows, comfy beds, bath, simple but cozy design. The hotel has a playground for kids. Parking is huge.

Situated 1.5 km from the Schwende ski lift and 3 km from the Ebenalp ski lift, Loosmühle features a bakery, a snack bar and a café on site. Wi-Fi in the entire property and private parking are both provided for free.

All rooms have a private bathroom and a satellite TV. They provide views of the Appenzell Alps or of the village. Ideal location, not too far from the train station. We started all of our walks from the hotel which was very convenient. Beautiful views from our room. The owners were very polite and friendly. Our breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed a lovely evening meal there also. We will definitely return.
