If you are looking for a place that feels like home search no more. As backpackers, this is our favourite place in Colombia and it is Palomino's hidden gem. It's the kind of place that makes you keep extending - we booked three nights and stayed for two weeks. During our stay in Jaba Jan, we found everything we were looking for. It is 3km to Palomino so the town is always accessible but at the same time you can stay away from the crowds. Not only the place is incredibly beautiful and it is located in a privileged spot, but our stay was absolutely amazing thanks to the people there. The owners, Dean and Jen, are two sweethearts. From day one, they always helped us on everything we needed and made sure that our stay was comfy and truly unique. The common spaces are always filled with a great vibe and people gather up for dinner/lunch in a very familiar way. Also, Dean and Jen prepared very sweet get togethers, like canelazo or sangria nights. The activities offered by the hostel are great. The kayak tour around the mangrove is very special and Dean explains the area in a very detailed way. The environment around the hostel is very nice and wild: the river, the mangrove and the almost private beach next to it are great spaces to chill and have a good time. About the facilities, the rooms are always very clean, they have a sports space that is quite big and equipped, the open showers are super beautiful and the kitchen and common areas have everything you need to for cooking, relaxing and enjoying yourself. The price is very fair for what you get and the food (bkf, lunch and dinner) is delicious. The staff are super friendly and helpful! Couldn't recommend this place more :)

Donama River ligger ca. 1,2 km fra Palomino-stranden og har rolig gadeudsigt samt ferieboliger med balkon. Der er adgang til terrasse og gratis privat parkering. Everything was perfect. The owners were super nice, good wifi connection, close to the bus stop, super clean room with towel and fan. It's a new place, he was still painting some things in the lobby.

Casa Flor Hostel & Drinks ligger i Ríohacha, 300 m fra Playa de Riohacha, og har bar, fælles opholdsstue og udsigt over den stille gade. Pensionatet har familieværelser. The rooms are comfortable and the location top. Very nice staff.

Hostal La Finquita ligger ca. 600 m fra Palomino-stranden og tilbyder indkvartering med balkon og pooludsigt. Der er adgang til terrasse og gratis privat parkering. We really enjoyed our time staying here. The site is brilliant and peaceful, there's lots of room to chill out and enjoy, plus lots of nature to see. The pool area is spacious and really relaxing. Breakfast was great everyday. The staff were really helpful and attentive. The hostel even has turtles they look after! Around 5 minute walk to the main street in Palomino so not much noise from here.

Jui Chi MaMa har haveudsigt og ligger ca. 2,4 km fra Palomino Strand. Overnatningsstedet har fælles køkken, privat ind- og udtjekning samt gratis wi-fi overalt. The hosts of this hostel is amazing, Herman and his wife, all cred to you! They are so serviceminded, kind and really takes care of you. They make sure you have the best visit possible in Palomino. Casa Zaida Hostal Vintage ligger i Ríohacha, 800 m fra Playa de Riohacha. Der er have, fælles opholdsstue og udsigt over den indre gårdhave. Der er gratis wi-fi overalt og privat parkering på stedet. This is the cutest and nicest hostel in Colombia, the family who runs it, does it with a lot of heart. We felt very welcomed and really recommend this place!

Hostal Nibuni Palomino har udsigt til haven og tilbyder indkvartering med have, bar og fælles opholdsstue, ca. 1 km fra Palomino-stranden. This hostel is so calm but still very close to the center and restaurants. The breakfast was really good and free. The staff are super helpful. I had a great time staying here!

Bella Flor Hostel Palomino ligger i Palomino, halvvejs mellem stranden og hoveddriften. Der tilbydes dejlig have/afslapningsområde samt bjergudsigt. Der er restaurant på stedet. I truly enjoyed my stay at Bella Flor! It had great atmosphere and friendly staff, was always kept clean, had a stable wifi, comfy hammocks, and tons of options for breakfast to choose from. Highly recommend!
